NYX butter glosses.
NYX has been around for a good many years, but I hadn’t heard about the brand until a few years ago when I started watching YouTube beauty videos.
Of all the products in their line, my favourite are definitely the Butter Glosses.
My little collection of 8 that I use all the time. I like to change up my lip colour throughout the day depending on my mood.
They’re super creamy, smell (and taste) great and have the perfect amount of colour. They’re not fully opaque, but offer decent amount of pigmentation. On my pale lips, they’re just stunning! Best of all, they’re cheaper than a lot of drugstore glosses that are sold here in Singapore (e.g. Revlon and Maybelline) at $10 a tube from Sephora.
Left to right: Tiramisu, Creme Brulee, Eclair, Vanilla Cream Pie, Peaches and Cream, Maple Blondie, Apple Strudel and Cherry Cheese Cake
You’ll notice that I lean towards nude colours rather than brights. There are a few bright shades as well, but I haven’t tried those yet. The most outstanding in my collection would be Cherry Cheese Cake, which is a muted orange. Perhaps one day I’ll try a hot pink shade.
These glosses come with a doe-foot applicator which makes the gloss very easy to apply. The formula isn’t sticky at all and feels very nourishing on the lips. You’ll know it’s there, but it doesn’t feel intrusive. You’ll have to reapply if you have a habit of licking your lips because they taste nice. 😉
If you happen to be able to get your hands on these, give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.
In the heat of summer, there's nothing worse that feeling muggy and smelling funky. I used to like spraying light colognes such as body splashes (the Bath & Bodyworks ones come to mind), however those don't always last long. So this time, before...
I don't tend to bring a whole bunch of makeup with me when I'm traveling as it's cumbersome and things can get smashed in transit, but I do like to look put together while I am on holiday. I may not use every item in my pared down makeup bag,...
Gone are the days of toting round a makeup bag with a whole bunch of makeup paraphernalia in it. I've discovered I rarely touch up during the day. Not so much because I don't need it, but more likely than not, I'm too lazy (or too busy) to be...
