Gone are the days of toting round a makeup bag with a whole bunch of makeup paraphernalia in it. I’ve discovered I rarely touch up during the day. Not so much because I don’t need it, but more likely than not, I’m too lazy (or too busy) to be bothered.
However, I do keep a few items with me just in case.
On this occasion, I brought some staples.
Benefit Gimme Brow in Light/Medium
This is brilliant. It doesn’t impart too much pigment and is light enough so it looks natural and not overkill on me. Does fade during the day on my fairly oily skin, which is why I bring this along, even though I may not use it at all. I don’t leave home without my eyebrows.
Chanel Compact Mirror
This was an investment piece. I keep it in its little case because I don’t want it getting scratched up. It’s served me really well for a while now. It’s very handy post meals. 😉
Urban Decay Naked Ultra Nourishing Lip Gloss in Nooner – S$32
A “my lips but better” shade. I’ve been a bit obsessed with this every since I got it. It’s been on my lips most of the time, so it’s always in my bag. The formula is great – it isn’t sticky but very nourishing at the same time. Worth every cent.
NYX Butter Gloss in Peaches & Cream – S$10
It’s quite a pink shade on me. Not a colour I gravitate towards naturally, but I’m trying to branch out here. This was the colour of the day, so I brought it along with me. I love these glosses (see previous post).
Jo Malone Grapefruit Cologne
I love Jo Malone scents because they’re very clean in general. I got this one as part of a 5-piece Christmas set two Christmasses ago. It’s fruity but not too overpowering.
How much do you bring with you on a daily basis?
It's been a while since I wrote about anything beauty-related. I haven't had time, money nor the inclination to try anything new and somehow I had fallen off the bandwagon of beauty blogging since, really... I am not one of those girls (nothing...
Every time I visit a different country (not as often as this phrase would have you believe), I love to experience what its local culture has to offer. Beyond the touristy facade, there lies a grittiness or a less-than-romantic perspective to each country that isn't...
Now that 2018 has begun, it's time to think about the different places I could potentially explore within the next 12 months. Mind you, it is a wishlist and it would be nigh impossible to visit all these places given the budget and leave constraints. But dreaming is...
