The quaint city of Coimbra.

Aug 16, 2016 | places

I love exploring new places. This Monday, we crawled out of the house really early to catch the bus to Coimbra. We’d heard about the amazing Bibloteca Joanina (library) in the University of Coimbra and wanted to visit. It truly didn’t disappoint.

For €11, we took in 5 locations in the University and climbed the clock tower. I’d like to dwell on the amount of steep slopes and steps we had to climb. MY WORD. It was honestly tiring. But it was worth it for the views.

A beautiful, beautiful city full of quaint European flair. I’ll be back.
