WOULD YOU LIKE TO ACCEPT JESUS?
If you have read my testimony and would like to receive Christ, please say this prayer and mean it with all your heart:
“Dear Lord Jesus
Thank you for dying on the cross for my sin. Please forgive me for all the wrong things I have done in my life. Come into my heart as my Lord and Savior.
From now on, help me to depend on You and live for You alone.
In Your name I pray.
2 Corinthians 5:17, New Living Translation This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
If you’ve been here long enough, you would know that I am a Christian.
I accepted Christ when I was 12 at a healing rally. Truth be told, I didn’t quite understand what I was doing at the time but all I knew was that I felt compelled in my heart to receive Christ.
That’s totally who I am. The emotional person who makes decisions with her heart and not with her mind. And in my late teens and early twenties, my wandering heart led me to slide into apathy in my relationship with God. He became a distant memory. Sure, I was going to church but it became such a routine that I found little meaning in it. I did whatever I wanted and discovered pretty quickly that none of those things I thought I wanted really satisfied.
So I came back to church, started to seek the Lord in earnest and find Him all over again. Fast forward to the present moment where I am loving Jesus and helping others to do the same. My life is still not free of ups and downs. As a human being full of weaknesses, there are times I find myself in a pit. But God never fails to lift me up. He is there when no one else is. For me, it’s not really the blessings that I get from God or the dazzling miracles that I experience through Him that cause me to continue in this path of faith. Neither is it the wonderful people I’ve met in church.
It’s just that without God, I would probably go insane and as weak as I am, I know I need someone much stronger than I am and someone who I can rely on, and who never fails. There’s only one person like that and that’s God. So if you’re at a point in your life where you don’t know what your purpose is or you’re going through something really challenging, know that there is hope in Jesus Christ. He can help you like He does me.
